Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is currently seeking highly qualified candidates in the following positions:

Morning Preschool/Pre-K Teaching Position, to start Fall 2025

  • This is a 5-morning class leading 4-year old Preschool/Pre-K, typically students in their second year of preschool. The Preschool teacher is responsible for the planning and implementation of instruction in all subject areas to students in the 4-year old Preschool/Pre-K class, focusing on Kindergarten readiness while teaching Christian faith & Bible stories, building social skills, & helping grow confidence.

  • The teacher provides feedback to both students and parents and ensures that Immanuel’s curricula execution meets and exceeds appropriate childhood development standards.

  • Other professional responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining a safe learning environment, supervising students, maintaining student records, participating in professional development, communicating with staff/students/parents, and supporting co-curricular/extracurricular activities.

    Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Meet any regulatory requirements of the position. (4) Hold a Bachelor’s degree (at minimum), Early Childhood Education preferred. (5) Hold any appropriate certificates, or be willing to pursue any necessary. (6) Successfully complete the background check process.

    Salary Range: $18,603.20 - $34,601.95, depending on level of education and years of experience. Paid time off.

First Grade Teaching Assistant

  • Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is seeking a highly qualified candidate to be a part-time Teaching Assistant in First Grade.  This is a morning, 15-hour per week role assisting the lead First Grade Teacher with classroom activities, reading exercises, math groups, individualized spelling groups, and other student-centric activities to help build skills and confident learners.

    Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Successfully complete the background check process.

    Salary Expectations: $16.63/hour. Paid time off.

Substitute Teachers

  • Immanuel Lutheran Church and School is seeking highly qualified candidates to serve as Substitute Teachers when the need arises.  Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining classroom decorum while following the classroom teacher’s prepared lesson plans.

    Minimum Requirements: (1) Embrace the mission and ministry of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School. (2) Able to follow teacher’s prepared lesson plans. (2) Possess and demonstrate good interpersonal skills in relating to adults and children. (3) Possess skills relating to quality classroom management. (4) Successfully complete the background check process. A background in education is a plus, but not required.

    Salary Expectations: Half-Day ($70); Full-Day ($140)
